Stéphanie Chouinard is associate professor in the Department of Political Science at Royal Military College (Kingston) since 2017. She does research in the fields of language rights, minority and Aboriginal rights, law and politics, Canadian Federalism, Minority and Language Rights and Politics (Canada; UK). Her current research focuses on the Supreme Court of Canada’s impact on the evolution of official-language rights and Aboriginal self-determination rights. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Law, Université de Montréal, as well as a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Canadian Studies, University of Edinburgh.She has published in Ethnopolitics, the Language Rights Review, Linguistic Minorities and Society, and the International Journal of Canadian Studies, among others.
