Delphine Deschaux-Dutard is an associate professor of political science at the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and deputy director of the Center for Research on International Security and European Cooperation (CESICE). She holds a Ph.D. in political science from Sciences Po Grenoble, where her dissertation focused on the role of Franco-German actors in the development of European defense policy (between 1991 and 2007). She has published numerous articles, columns, books, and book chapters on European defense, Franco-German military cooperation, parliamentary oversight of the armed forces, and cyberdefense in the EU. She has presented more than 80 papers at academic conferences in France and around the world, and published nearly 70 works in various formats (books, academic articles, opinion pieces, popular science articles, etc.).

She co-leads the Polis in War research project on the financing of French military operations, funded by the ANR (2022–2026), having previously co-led the CYBIS project supported by the Ministry of the Armed Forces (2028–2020). She is also a member of the DePeru research project (University of Lille) and the Democis research consortium (Sub-Challenge 4 on hybrid threats to democracy).*

A former IHEDN Young Auditor (2006), she has been preparing her qualification to supervise research on the topic of strategic discourses surrounding European rearmament and their politicization in France and Germany since 2022.
