Frédérick Gagnon is the Chairholder of the Raoul-Dandurand Chair, Director of the Observatory of the United States and Director of the Observatory of multidimensional conflicts. He is Professor of political science at University of Québec in Montréal. He received a Fullbright scholarship in 2014-2015. He has published, alone or in collaboration, books on american foreign policy (*Théories de la politique étrangère américaine*, with Charles-Philippe David, dir., Presses de l’Université de Montréal, 2012 et 2018), the US Congress (*Les sénateurs qui changent le monde*, Presses de l’Université Laval, 2013; *Le Congrès des États-Unis,*dir.*,*Presses de l’Université du Québec, 2006), the political institutions in the US (*Les États-Unis d’Amérique. Les institutions politiques*avec Claude Corbo, Septentrion, 2011 et 2016). He is also the author of many book chapters or peer reviewed articles on american elections, US Congress, culture wars, US foreign policy or Québec-US relations, notably in *Foreign Policy Analysis*, *Études internationales*, *Canadian Review of American Studies*, *European Review of American Studies*, *Québec Studies* et *Politique américaine.*
