Katerina Sviderska is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom). A Gates Cambridge Scholar, she focuses on European politics and the study of nationalism, particularly in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. She teaches at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) and the Kyiv School of Economics (Ukraine). Her master’s thesis at the University of Montreal (winner of the Jenson-Pétry Prize from the Quebec Political Science Association) focused on Russian historical myths concerning Ukraine, while her broader research explores European integration, nation-building, and identity politics.

As an associate member of the Chair in Ukrainian Studies at the University of Ottawa, Katerina serves as co-coordinator of the annual conference of the Association for the Study of Nationalities (ASN) and the Danyliw Seminar on Contemporary Ukraine. She is also involved in research governance through the Student Intersectoral Committee of the Fonds de Recherche du Québec (FRQ).
