Marie Lamensch is the Director of Global Affairs at the Montreal Centre for Global Security. Her research and policy interests focus on international security and human rights, foreign influence and interference, gendered disinformation, emerging technologies, transnational repression, and digital authoritarianism. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history (Concordia University) and a master’s degree in Conflict, Security, and Development (King’s College London, Department of War Studies).

Previously, Marie served as program and outreach coordinator at the Montreal Institute for Global Security. Marie provides training to diplomats and journalists and has conducted numerous consultations for NGOs and government agencies. She also regularly gives lectures and grants media interviews.

Marie writes for the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and is affiliated with the Raoul Dandurand Chair’s Observatory on Geopolitics and Observatory on Multidimensional Conflicts. She is also the former president of the Montreal chapter of the International Council of Canada.
