Mohamed Elgayar is a second-year PhD candidate in the Political Science department at the University of Waterloo. Born and raised in Egypt, Mohamed moved to Halifax in 2013. He has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Dalhousie University, with a primary focus on international relations. Mohamed is currently researching radicalization, extremism, and Middle Eastern security issues, specifically in the digital space and how it spreads into our everyday lives.
