Whitney Lackenbauer, Ph.D., is Canada Research Chair in the Study of the Canadian North and a professor in the School for the Study of Canada at Trent University. He is also director of the Centre on Foreign Policy and Federalism at St. Jerome’s University in the University of Waterloo. He is also co-editor of the Documents on Canadian Arctic Sovereignty and Security (DCASS) series. His current research includes histories of Arctic sovereignty and security policies and practices since the Second World War, Aboriginal-state relations, and contemporary circumpolar affairs.
