Thomas Juneau is a full professor at the University of Ottawa’s School of Public and International Affairs. His research focuses on the Middle East—particularly Iran and Yemen—the role of intelligence in national security and foreign policy-making, transparency in national security, and Canada’s foreign and defense policy. He is a research fellow at the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies and at Chatham House. From 2003 to 2014, he worked at Canada’s Department of National Defense, primarily as a policy analyst covering the Middle East.
