Theodore McLauchlin is Associate professor at the Department of Political Science of the University of Montreal and Director of the Centre for International Peace and Security Studies (CIPSS). Theodore received his PhD in Political Science at McGill University in 2013. His research, which lies in the spheres of security and international and civil conflicts, focuses on the organization and the political lives of state as well as non-state military forces. He has published in academic journals such as Journal of Conflict Resolution, Conflict Management and Peace Science, Comparative Politics, and Security Studies. He is the author of Desertion: Trust and Mistrust in Civil Wars (Cornell University Press, 2020).
