Theodore McLauchlin is Professor of Political Science and director of the Centre d’études sur la paix et la sécurité internationale at Université de Montréal. He is the author of Desertion: Trust and Mistrust in Civil Wars (Cornell, 2020), and of papers on civil war and military politics in outlets such as International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, Comparative Politics, Comparative Political Studies, and Security Studies.
