Yf Reykers is Associate Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University. He is also Co-Editor of the journal Contemporary Security Policy.
Yf obtained his PhD from KU Leuven. He was a visiting scholar at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at European University Institute, at the Center on International Cooperation at New York University, and at Aarhus University. Yf studies issues relating to European security and defence. For the moment, he focuses in particular on the role of ad hoc coalitions in international security and different forms of European defence cooperation. He teaches courses on International Relations and research design in the BA, MA and Research Master European Studies.
