On the occasion of the forthcoming publication of Volume 6 of the Rubicon by Les Equateurs, devoted to security challenges in Africa, this roundtable discussion brings together the authors of this new volume to delve into the various issues addressed in this book.
For too long, Africa has been essentialized and often reduced to perpetual conflict and its accompanying humanitarian needs. Today, the African continent encompasses many of the political and strategic challenges faced by the international community as a whole. The need to take a fresh look at this collection of 54 states is more crucial than ever.
