Quentin Martel is currently a student at the University of Sherbrooke, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in applied political studies, with a concentration in security and intelligence. This program will enable him to gain greater expertise in national security and national defense in Canada.
He completed most of his studies in France, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in law with a concentration in public law from the University of Savoie Mont-Blanc. In 2023, he decided to take a gap year to pursue a minor in political science at the University of Quebec in Montreal. This experience had a profound impact on him and sparked his interest in national security issues and the geostrategic challenges facing Canada. It was during his minor that he wrote his first policy paper, which focused on the geopolitical situation in the Arctic Far North. This publication led to a number of changes in his professional life. Indeed, thanks to this recognition, he decided to return to Canada to complete his studies and gain further knowledge in fields related to national defense.
From a very young age, he has been fascinated by political science, with a particular interest in national security. At a very young age, he served as a youth city council member in his hometown in France. At the age of 16, he decided to devote himself to various emergency services. He worked as a temporary assistant with the municipal police for two consecutive summers, as well as a volunteer firefighter for several years.
