Emma Donnaint is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Montreal. Her research focuses on the impact of the use of algorithmic weapons in contemporary conflicts on disarmament initiatives at the UN and within civil society. Her work falls within the field of international relations, and more specifically, critical security studies. Her research is funded by the House of Public and International Affairs and the Fonds de recherche du Québec. As the former coordinator of the Research Network on Women, Peace, and Security at McGill University, Emma disseminated research on Women, Peace, and Security issues to the Department of National Defense and Global Affairs Canada for over a year. She is also a member of the Centre for International Studies and Research at the University of Montreal (CÉRIUM) and the Research Network on Women, Peace, and Security at Queen’s University.
