James Lee est chercheur adjoint (maître de conférences) à l’Academia Sinica, à Taïwan. Outre son affiliation à l’Academia Sinica, il est également chercheur associé senior au Collège de défense de l’OTAN et chercheur affilié à l’Institut sur les conflits et la coopération mondiaux de l’Université de Californie. Ses travaux de recherche portent sur le statut juridique de Taïwan dans les relations transatlantiques pendant la Guerre froide, ainsi que sur d’autres thèmes relevant de l’histoire appliquée.
