Pierre Colautti is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Laval University in Quebec City under the supervision of Jonathan Paquin. He studies International Relations, with a focus on alliance dynamics and states’ foreign and defence strategies. He is particularly interested in the strategic behaviour of formal hegemon allies in times of great power rivalry and the transformation of the international order. The FRQSC funds his research. Alexandre Courtemanche is a master's student in political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal under the supervision of Justin Massie. At the same university, he obtained his bachelor's degree by completing the Honor's program in the political science department, with a concentration in international relations, before continuing his studies at the graduate level.
