With the advent of a fourth wave of COVID-19 and all the systemic flaws that the pandemic has brought to the forefront, foreign policy and defence issues have been relegated to the background even as Canada’s strategic position within the international community has been in constant decline for the past few years. Faced with the increasing complexity of international issues and the silence of the various political parties on their international ambitions, what future can we expect for Canadian foreign policy and national defence?
