Charline Hutin is a French student based in Montreal, fluent in four languages (French, Italian, English, and Spanish), currently in her third year of a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies at the Université de Montréal, with a specialization in peace and security. She has a strong interest in military affairs, nuclear deterrence, and counterterrorism, and is pursuing a career in the national defense sector, with a marked inclination for military environments. Her profile stands out for her solid experience in simulated diplomacy, strategic research, and the organization of international events.
Charline has taken part in several prestigious simulations: she served as a delegate to the Military Committee at IMNATO in Washington, chaired the Council in the MODEL ICAO, and has been an active member of the Simulation of the Council of the European Union (SCUE), where she represented Italy, coordinated the event, worked as a committee writer, and later became editor-in-chief. She is also the founder of the Université de Montréal’s delegation to the International Model NATO, which she established to promote issues of defense and collective security within the university.
In parallel, she conducts academic research on NATO and European security issues. She is also a member of the Jeunes de l’IHEDN – Canada and of the French Association for the Euro-Atlantic Community (AFCEA), two affiliations that further anchor her in strategic thinking networks and transatlantic cooperation.
