Cindy is a PhD student in the Department of Political Studies at Queen’s University, supervised by Dr. Stéfanie von Hlatky. Her research focuses on the organization and membership of the Canadian Armed Forces, including elements such as gender, civil-military relations, international security, organizational identity and culture, and international relations. She has a multidisciplinary background with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Sociology and a Master’s degree in Sociology.
Cindy has worked in the public service for over 8 years, as a security analyst at Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and as a senior policy analyst at the Department of National Defence. Cindy is currently Coordinator of Women in International Security-Canada (WIIS-C).
