The relationship between Russia and the West has often been articulated under several prisms ranging from cooperation, mistrust and in some areas competition. For the past decade, we have witnessed a re-engagement of Russia in several geographical areas that are not particularly part of its traditional zone of influence, as well as a greater proactivity in the field of hybrid warfare. In a context where the international community is struggling to put up a united front in the face of these multiple issues, what are the challenges and opportunities for the West, and Canada in particular, in articulating its cooperation with Russia?
